April 9, 2014
Today we have highs spread throughout the great plains generating southerly winds for us here in Wisconsin. Current temperature is 46 F and climbing with fairly calm winds at most going 5mph. We have some rain/ice/snow starting to form over the northern tip of Wisconsin. This is because a warm front just pushed by and now cold air is pushing in to take its place. Barometric pressure is 1013 mb, dewpoint is 27 F. We are forecasted for a high of 70 in Eau-Claire because of the combinations of high pressure, southerly winds from the Gulf, and a jet stream forming a trough from lake Ontario down to Florida. I will continue monitoring weather, but these next couple days are going to look ugly. Water vapor is rising as you can see from this image and it's coming towards us.
